Is important for teachers to partner with therapists in helping their students to reach the goals listed on these educational plans. We want to avoid children only being attended to when the therapist visits the classroom when most of their time is with their teachers and peers. Below, I have listed 2 strategies that early educators may want to try out. It does take a bit of practice and planning, but the rewards can be extremely helpful and gratifying. Whether embedding instruction during free play, small groups, mealtime or during outside play, there are many opportunities to support our children with special needs.
